A Pop-Up Literary Bar and Gathering Place for Portland Book Festival week.

November 4 - 8, 2026

723 SW Salmon St | Downtown Portland

For five days only, Book Bar is bringing a vacant downtown restaurant back to life as a bar, café and gathering place for readers, writers and anyone who likes a good story and a good drink.

The social hub of
Portland Book Festival week.

Portland Book Festival is growing beyond a single Saturday, with storytelling experiences unfolding across the city through books, music, visual art, food and performance.

Book Bar is the social center of it all.

Created by Fuller Events in partnership with Literary Arts, Book Bar transforms a vacant downtown restaurant into a temporary bar, café and cultural clubhouse just steps from Portland Art Museum, the Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall, The Judy and other festival venues.

Throughout the week, Book Bar will bring together Portland’s literary, culinary, music and creative communities for a rotating lineup of performances, conversations, food, drinks and unexpected happenings.

You don’t need a Portland Book Festival ticket to come in. You don’t even have to consider yourself a “book person.”

You just have to
be curious.
